Naomi Jarvis 3/19/2019 6:18 PMAir travel day today. SAS gave us plastic bottles of water & juice. I failed on my composting, 5 minute outdoor walk and avoiding disposables objectives, but surprised the flight attendant by carrying off my empty plastic bottles for recycling. Will email them to suggest that the airline should collect them separately for recycling, it'd be easy enough to do and Scandinavia is generally much more enviro-conscious than most. -
Naomi Jarvis 3/18/2019 11:58 AMReal (non-disposable) crockery & silverware at breakfast should be a selling point for hotels. I would pay extra for it. I so dislike styrofoam cups, yuk. -
Naomi Jarvis 3/08/2019 11:51 AMWoohoo!! The prizes are real!! Isn't this awesome?! I love Phipps (and I cannot remember when I last won something, I have filled in several hundred slips (one per visit) for the Trader Joe reusable shopping bag raffles, still hopeful) so YAY!! Have a great weekend, everyone! :-)

Naomi Jarvis 3/03/2019 6:27 AM... and I did. I emailed Wegmans to suggest that they provide real cutlery and plates for the cafe use, as they already have washing up facilities to deal with the food prepared in-store, and failing that, next best would be compostable cutlery & plates, and do they partner with a local compost collector to compost their food waste? Worst case outcome is that it gives them something to think about. :D -
Naomi Jarvis 3/03/2019 6:10 AMDoes it count as disposable cutlery if I take it home and reuse it?
(My collection is getting annoying. I remembered to decline take-out cutlery in Panera in the morning but the day out was longer than planned and we ended up eating dinner in Wegman's. Wegmans could provide compostable plates & cutlery. I will email them). -

Naomi Jarvis 3/01/2019 6:20 PMFailed on the disposable cutlery ban - went to Choolaah for dinner. Could have taken my own cutlery but did not. Thought they probably wouldn't want to put the food onto one of my plates. -
Naomi Jarvis 2/27/2019 6:34 PMMy new Yimby!!! put together just in time.
