Ashley Krenn 3/13/2019 5:23 AMThis week is our teams week to focus on waste. I have been collecting up my composting materials and hoarding them in containers on my deck... saving them to start up my composting pile! Stay tuned! If it stays nice out, I will be moving them to my new compost pile. Any recommendations on how to begin?-
Mandy Howison 3/13/2019 1:54 PMI like to start my compost piles with a layer of dried leaves, grass clippings, or shredded paper. I am not sure if it matters, but I prefer to not throw decaying food in there first.

Ashley Krenn 3/11/2019 4:49 PMThis past week our team was focusing on health. Since the weather was nice out, i decided to get outside and move. I worked outside, pruning large vines off our overgrown hillside. It was definitely a workout! Anyone else get out and get moving in the nice weather?-
Carly Pietrzyk 3/12/2019 12:34 PMCleaned up all the dog poop! LOL -
Mandy Howison 3/12/2019 3:06 AMIt has finally been gorgeous! I have been able to hike more with my dog. Also, we have been able to start spring cleaning (with natural cleaners), hang some laundry outside, getting the flower beds ready for spring, and chopping wood. This week, we will also built another compost bin so we can alternate every year.

Ashley Krenn 3/05/2019 11:31 AMMy group and I are working on healthier choices this week. Tonight I am making a few batches of ravioli, one for tonight and then freezing the rest for another day. It is really easy and is less processed than other food choices. You can even ask your kids to choose their own fillings :) Check out the recipe!

Ashley Krenn 3/03/2019 5:55 AMMy husband and I have decided to start a compost pile behind our shed. I am excited! I have also asked our neighbor to share it, so killing two houses with one compost!-
Carly Pietrzyk 3/05/2019 5:45 AMI want to do that in our new home out in the country. It will be so much easier to do many of these things out there! -
Mandy Howison 3/04/2019 4:41 AMThat is awesome! I also have a compost pile and I keep a sealed can on my kitchen deck to place all my compostable items from the kitchen, so I am not running to the compost pile every day.
