    I really enjoyed trying some new ways to help the environment and also myself!  I plan on taking many of the things I tried into the future and making them a part of my daily lifestyle.

    I signed up for the Rachel Carson Trail Challenge on Saturday and attended an information and tips session this weekend so I can prepare for it!  I signed up for the Homestead Challenge, which is 17 miles over "brutal" terrain that has to be completed in just over 7 hours.

    My son and I checked out the Bushy Run Battlefield on Sunday and hiked the Iroquois Trail while we were there.

    I made a commitment to help this year at the Tarentum Friendship Garden, which is a community garden in my town.  I will be going there on April 6th to help with spring planting and clean up day.  It gives residents the opportunity to grow and harvest fresh produce.

      Where do you get this energy?  I am trying to keep up with my pot garden on my porch in the summer.  You're amazing!

    I took our company's 2nd donation to the Salvation Army today from our clothing closet.  They thanked me and said the clothes were very useful for the people in their neighborhood who can't afford to buy new clothes.

    I went and explored a new part of the Rachel Carson Trail this weekend.  I spent 2 hours hiking and exploring nature.  I am looking at participating in a pretty intense hiking challenge in June and this trail is where the challenge will be held.

    Thanks to my exercising and pushing myself at work every day this week, plus hiking on Saturday, I lost 5 pounds!

    I brought in a bag of clothes my daughter had outgrown to donate to our company clothing closet.  I am excited to see others able to use items that would otherwise be thrown away.
