Carla Nollinger 3/13/2019 10:24 AMI took my niece out for ice cream yesterday (hooray for spring weather!) and made a point to bring our sticky containers home to rinse out and recycle, rather than throwing them in the trash there. -
Carla Nollinger 3/11/2019 7:36 AMI took another step towards living sustainably yesterday that I have been meaning to do for awhile... I bought cloth napkins! No more paper napkins (and the plastic packaging they come in) for my household! I can't speak to the quality because they haven't arrived yet, but the price was very reasonable (12 napkins for $14.99).

Carla Nollinger 3/06/2019 1:33 PMA conversation with a friend yesterday reminded me of this TED Talk.... I saw it years ago but it has stuck with me, and I share the message often with others. It is only 4 minutes long and teaches a super simple concept of how to stop wasting multiple paper towels when drying your hands (that really works every time!). I hope you all take time to watch it and spread the word :) Enjoy!

Carla Nollinger 2/28/2019 1:37 PMI recently ripped the strap on my backpack. Instead of sending it to the landfill and buying a new one, I mailed it back to the manufacturer to be repaired (for free). Thanks Jansport! What other companies offer something like this?
